An automatic band saw of a double-column construction, designed for perpendicular cuts of both full and pro le materials at the maximum performance. The outstanding cutting power of the machine results from the following features: a three-sided hardmetal band precision guide, a saw arm laid both-sided on preloaded linear guides, a 41 mm high saw band and lastly, a synchronous running brush for chips disposal.
All large-volume parts relevant in terms of generating vibration in all of the Production Series machines are lled with a polymer-concrete mixture developed by our company. In connection with preloaded, largely over-dimensioned linear guiding, the polymer-concrete technology allows the machine to perform cuts with almost no vibration. This results in a 30% higher performance of the machine.
These bene ts facilitate cutting dif cult material types without the necessity to select a higher machine class. The material is fed under the saw band by a controlled servodrive and a ball screw. Material clamping and arm downfeed are controlled hydraulically. The maximum length of an individual feed is 750 mm, or up to 6,500 mm with a repeated feed.
The sectional main vice clamps the material before and behind the saw band. The operator enters the material dimension and quality, the control system sets and, upon continuous electronic monitoring, continually checks the cutting pressure, feed, ad saw band speed even during cutting. The programming is performed in simple steps, and thanks to a large graphic display of individual sections it is easy to control for the user. All control elements are located on the freely- adjustable control panel. Complete covering ef ciently reduces noise in the surrounding area and signicantly contributes to increased safety during cutting. This highly eficient saw is ideal to be used in a three-shift heavy-duty operation.

Suitable handling systems
Handling System X/XP
The new X/XP handling system offers unprecedented flexibility for tailoring a handling system to individual needs and conditions. Load capacities and automation levels can be adjusted with perfect flexibility and modified at a later time. Besides the roll conveyor in a regular and propelled version, the X system comprises a rich array of options, from vertical rollers, to length measuring systems all the way to cross conveyor units and shifting devices. The load capacity can be customized by the number of rollers and support feet used. The roll conveyor's feed profile even allows varying roller and foot distances on the same roll conveyor unit. When needed, additional rollers and/or support feet can be installed at any time.
Hydraulic bundle clamping device Device for clamping materials in layers and bundles with the use of an additional vertical clamping unit.
Hydraulics preheatingFor low temperatures, the hydraulic oil is heated before the saw is started, which reduces the idle time for necessary viscosity to be achieved.
Third coolant supply The third coolant supply is used for extra wide materials. The coolant supply is flexible and may be individually adjusted to the material shape.
